Author’s Note: This book is based on my journey as a reader and now a writer. Growing up, I loved to read; I would rather read than do anything else most times! Some of my earliest memories came from inside my local library. My parents would take my siblings and I to the library every week and we would just get lost in the books. My love for reading in turn fed my love for writing. I had always wanted to write a book, so I finally took the leap with this one. This book imagines the transformation that occurs when young readers get access to books. In the US alone, 2.5 million children go to school in districts with no library. Through organizations like Read 2 Lead, I hope this book helps bridge this access gap
